Hey fellas, there’s a fighting game jam being organized this April by several figures from the Indie FG dev community! This thread here is to help you find people to work with.
Use this thread to find other users!
You can use this during the jam, and I’m going to keep this updated with people and teams. Don’t hesitate to make your own thread in Castagne > Castagne Games when the jam actually starts!

FAQ
Panthavma, do you have recommendations? → Yeah, use Castagne to save yourself tons of work lol. Castagne’s flexibility will allow you to make your core mechanics, while its efficiency will allow you to make all your attacks in like 2 days. Get your prototype in week one! The biggest timesink is going to be graphics, so make sure you plan accordingly. April marks the probable release of castagne-spritesheets, the evolution of my pipeline tool you see in my speedrun, so watch out for that to save yet more hours!
Old Castagne or Neo Castagne? → Now this is an interesting question, since the beta will probably coincide with the jam. For most people, use the current Castagne, it’s more stable and battle tested, and more than enough. It also fits the requirements out of the box. Neo-Castagne is pretty much better in every aspect, once that aspect is in. If you are crazy enough to consider that possibility, I would still recommend starting in the current Castagne as Neo probably won’t be released at the start, and switch to it when it goes out, or if you have a late start for any reason. I would recommend focusing on asset production if you go that route. The risk might be worth it, but that’s something you’ll have to evaluate for yourself. Neo-Castagne might be key if your game relies on some of its exclusive features, but its state WILL pressure your project.
